CDC TRAIN Health Educators & Learning Professionals (HELP) Community of Practice Learning Series. Presentation 13. Accessibility and Interactivity. The theme of the webinar this month is Accessibility and Interactivity. This session will provide an introduction Section 508 Accessibility rules for Web content, including e-learning. There will be a demonstration of Freedom Scientific's JAWS assistive technology screen reader, which is used by many visually impaired Internet users. Designing and developing 508-complaint interactions is especially a challenge, and will be adressed. We will look behind the scenes at CDC EDAB e-learning modules created using Lectora® and how to keep them 508-compliant. There will also be a discussion on additional resources for Section 508.

We face the challenge of keep up in a professional field that seems to be growing in diversity with every passing day and at the same time, requiring us to keep up with educating and training our workforce. We hope that this webinar series will help to bridge the gap and provide you with timely and helpful training!
